Protect and position your business for growth by filing your trademark application on your own...

Without an Attorney!

The first step to creating a strong brand is owning it.

And how do you take ownership of your brand collateral? Trademark it . . . all of it.
Trademark registration is an investment into one of the most valuable intangible assets your business will ever have: customer goodwill. Building a recognizable brand with a strong brand reputation is an investment into the longevity and overall value of your business . . . and it can’t be done without trademarks.

But trademarks aren’t just there to prevent competitors from capitalizing off your branding and marketing. They also create additional revenue streams in-and-of-themselves. And that’s why it’s so important for small businesses like yours to develop, protect, and leverage trademarks early and often.

Cease and Desist letter template + walkthrough video tutorial

($197 value)
The Cease and Desist Letter should be used to stop copycats and sleazy competitors in their trademark infringing tracks. Are copycats confusing your potential customers with branding that looks just a little too much like yours?! Use the attorney-drafted Cease and Desist Letter to move them right out of your lane.

This template is attorney-drafted and designed to be tailored to the specifics of your brand’s trademark. Comes with a walk-through video tutorial to show you exactly how to get the most value out of your template.
If you’ve been in these entrepreneur streets for a little while, you probably know that hiring an attorney to file trademark registrations for your brand name, logo, slogan, signature product, service, course, podcast, and the host of other trademark-worthy money-makers in your business can get really, really, really expensive to say the least.

That doesn’t take away from how important it is to trademark not one, but all of the trademarkable assets in your business, though.

After all, how can it make you money if it’s not . . . yours ?!

It’s also important to understand that it takes more than filling out a trademark application to secure trademark registrations that are effective in expanding the reach and revenues of your brand.

It’s not just a transaction – it’s a strategy.

That’s why the trademark application assembly line services you find on the internet may be cheaper, but probably won’t be better than hiring an attorney to get the job done right for your business.

About Ryenne Shaw

My name is Ryenne Shaw and I help small business owners build businesses that operate as assets instead of liabilities, increase in value over time and build wealth.

After over ten years of legal experience, I created the Bosses’ Lawyer to provide the legal support small business bosses need to grow and protect their brands, businesses, and assets.

I spent most of my early legal career assisting C.E.O.s, General Counsel, and in-house legal counsel of both large and small corporations in minimizing liability, protecting business assets and maximizing profits. While working with many of these entities, I realized that smaller entities are often underserved. I saw that small business owners weren’t receiving the same level of legal support larger corporations relied upon to grow and sustain. I knew this was a major contributor to the ceiling that most small businesses hit before they’ve even scratched the surface of their potential. And I knew at that moment that all of this lack of knowledge and support was contributing to the wealth gap.

I saw a gap I wanted to fill. My vision for the Bosses’ Lawyer was born of my
desire to help create generational wealth within our underserved and
overlooked communities.

I assist small business owners in leveraging the same legal strategies large corporations have used for years, to build businesses that do more than make money – but create wealth.

FAQ'S

1. What happens after I purchase?
After your purchase, you will receive login information for the member portal where your course is housed in a separate email. Follow the instructions in that email to register your account and access the member portal. Please allow up to twenty (20) minutes to receive your login information. Please check your spam inbox if you don’t see the login email in your primary inbox initially. If you have not received your login information after twenty (20) minutes, contact us at support@wealthbuildingboss.com and our team will resolve the issue as soon as possible.
2. I own the domain name. Do I own the trademark too?
No. If you own the domain name, you simply own the right to create a website at that address. You do not have the right to stop any other brand or business from utilizing the name, although they would be unable to utilize the particular domain name. Owning the domain name does not protect your brand. It protects your ownership of the website address.
3. What should I trademark first?
I always recommend my clients trademark early and often. If it’s something you’d like your customers to use to identify your brand, trademark it. If it’s something that will help draw a closer connection with your ideal customer, trademark it. If you have created a powerful slogan that is at the heart of your next marketing campaign, trademark it.

Consider trademarking not just your brand’s name, logo, and slogan, but also the name of signature products or lines you’ll be marketing heavily. If you’re going to make money selling it, you should be trademarking it!

However, if budget is a factor, you should trademark the most powerful identifier first.

For most of us, the primary and predominant manner that we’d like our business to be remembered is by its name. So if you don’t trademark anything else, trademark the name of your business, brand, course, signature service, etc. to start. This will ensure that your brand is positioned to OWN YOUR LANE while you grow it out.
4. How long will it take to register my trademark?
The trademark registration can take up to a year or more to complete from application to registration. Click here for a detailed breakdown of the timeline.
5. How much does it cost to file a trademark application?
Since you’re on your way to mastering the art of filing your own trademark application, you’ll save at least $2000 or more every time you file a trademark application on your own, versus hiring an attorney. The USPTO also charges filing fees for your application. The USPTO filing fee is currently $350 per trademark application per class. A class is essentially a category for trademark purposes. You’ll learn more about that in the course. 😉
6. What if the USPTO doesn’t immediately issue registration for one of my trademark applications? Are there any refunds?
If the USPTO doesn’t immediately issue registration, the fees paid to the USPTO to file your application are non-refundable.

However, it is still important to learn as soon as possible if your mark is unregistrable. If your company is just starting out, it’s best to make name and branding tweaks now before you’ve expended thousands of dollars and years building out brand recognition and customer goodwill only to lose it with a forced rebranding.

Furthermore, if the USPTO initially denies registration you have the ability to set forth arguments in favor of registration, or take alternative steps to achieve a favorable outcome. Our office will advise you accordingly, should this situation occur.

This course will also teach you how to create trademark worthy marks, so you’ll be able to avoid this issue after implementing what you learn in the course.
7. What is the format of the course?
The course consists of seven (7) lessons made up of instructional videos, ebooks, checklists, worksheets, and cheat sheets. The content is broken down into relatively short and easily digestible lessons to prevent overwhelm.
8. What is the major benefit of taking this course?
This course provides the knowledge, guidance, and strategy you need to independently prepare and file trademark applications for your brand without having to spend thousands of dollars in attorneys’ fees every single time. To build a powerhouse brand, you’ll need to amass a portfolio with numerous trademarks. Why wouldn’t you want to develop the skill to grow and protect your brand at a moment’s notice?! It’s a no-brainer!
9. What is the refund policy?
Your course purchase gives you access to everything from e-books to checklists to cheat sheets, instructional videos and tutorials, to real attorney-drafted legal letters and a whole lot of value in between! Because of the tremendous value provided within the course, no refunds will be provided. If you have any difficulty accessing your materials, email us at support@wealthbuildingboss.com.
